There's an old saying that you always keep the best wine until last - that's certainly the case in relation to Phantom FM. They have travelled a very long road towards legitimacy. It's been a painful journey for the guys, but they have arrived and their reward is that they are here to stay.

Phantom FM is Dublin's newest independent commercial radio station. They launched at Noon on October 31st 2006 on 105.2 Mhz FM.

As their web site says: "Phantom 105.2 broadcasts rock and independent music to Dublin and beyond via the web, 24 hours a day. Their formula is simple - they don't play disposable rubbish!"

Put this together with an emphasis on local artists, with real music fans behind the microphone and plenty of listener input.

One of the most popular radio stations of the 1980's makes its return to the web with a mix of classic love songs from the 60's through to the 90's.

As their web site says: "Our research has told us one of the most under served formats today is love songs. At Heartbeat FM we are here to change all that. The songs we play will remind you of those kisses behind the bicycle sheds and the school discos and will feature many of the great artists you know and love."
