FM 104, DUBLIN.

Capital Radio started out as Ireland's first ever legal commercial radio station in August 1989. The station then changed its name to Rock 104 (changing music format) and then becoming FM 104, which it still is today.

Part of the promotional tools for the radio station involved a fleet of 4-wheel drive vehicles which usually went around the streets of Dublin city and county, in convoy. The Fleet would have free promotional items on board to give away, including t-shirts, sweets, soft drinks, shampoo and of course, stickers. The 'FM104 Patrols' could be found whereverthere was some excitement in the city.

The fleet was also used for delivering prizes to listeners. Pictured here was my Nissan patrol. This is the vehicle that was driven by "Stereo Steve".
