He's the man who invited me to go from Dublin to Dundalk to work on his new radio station. Hugh presented the very popular "Country Call" request programme each day. He started doing Midday to 1.00pm, then some months later, he decided to add a second show from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. The show featured country music - Irish and American, plus requests.
