RADIO CAROUSEL, NAVAN.

This is another view on the studio, taken in the early 1980's. To the left is the record deck (used to play vinyl records - there were NO CD's then!!). The blue box was a cassette storage case which had all the commercials and promotions. To the right of that was another cassette storage which had cassettes with jingles for the station.

Just above the mixer was one of three cassette machines used to play the commercials and promotions. The round white ball to the right of the photo was an air freshener and just below that was the cassette machine used for playing overnight music. This cassette machine had auto-reverse, so using a 60-minute cassette gave you two hours playing time before it repeated.
